Property disputes between separating unmarried couples are far from uncommon. It is always best when deciding to co-habit to make sure you have agreed how you each hold an interest in your chosen home so if your relationship breaks down disputes over ownership are unlikely to happen. We can help you by setting up Co-habitation agreements before you commit yourself and Separation Agreements if it does not work out. Should things go wrong we can help with resolving property disputes and trust of land claims between the co-owners of the property.

We will refer you to mediation to try and resolve any dispute or issues by agreement in appropriate cases. We believe that it is always best to try and reach an agreement, even if it is not a perfect solution, rather than have one imposed by the court, which no-one may be happy with and which can all too often lead to further problems. However, if the need is unavoidable, we can arrange for you to be represented in the Family Court and higher courts.
We understand how the costs of dealing with a relationship or family issue can be stressful and therefore we will be open about costs at all times. We have fixed fees for undefended divorce, consent orders and hearings and can agree bespoke fees to suit your budget so you will have peace of mind throughout the process. Our experienced legal team will always attempt to avoid long legal debate and focus on concluding your issue as quickly as possible.
